About the artist :

Deb Yann was born in Melbourne, Australia, and grew up in the outer eastern suburbs surrounded by native wildlife. From an early age, she found a fascination with nature, and this only grew with years spent travelling up and down the east coast, exploring the unique Australian landscape.

The only thing that matched her fascination with nature was her passion for creativity. It was only natural to blend these two passions in the form of artwork.

Inspired by the vibrant and the unique, Deb creates watercolour portraits of exotic and Australian animals using brilliant watercolour dry wheels, gauche, iridescent medium, and watercolour pencil. She uses micro brushes (no more than 5-7mm length) to build up layers of detail and rich colour, with each A1 work taking around 100 hours to produce.
